PURPOSE
To promote the use and equal status of all official languages in order to transform society and provide access to information and services through the development of specialised terminology, language technologies, translation and editing services in all official and foreign languages, providing bursaries through partnerships with universities and professionalisation of the sector
FUNCTIONS
β€’ To translate and edit documents in all official and foreign languages
β€’ To coordinate and strengthen the implementation of language legislation
β€’ To implement DSAC language policy
β€’ To develop specialised terminologies in all official languages
β€’ To coordinate human language activities
β€’ Maintain human language technology strategies
