Required for travel to Mexico — plan ahead before June 2026
Mexico Visa
Winners travelling to Mexico may need a tourist visa. Apply at the Mexican Embassy in Pretoria well in advance.
Valid Passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond June 2026 with 2+ blank pages. Winners without a valid passport will be disqualified.
Domestic Flights
Flights from your home city to the departure airport (e.g. Cape Town or Durban to Johannesburg) are not included.
Bank Statements
3–12 months of bank statements, bank-stamped originals required for Mexican visa application.
Passport Photo
1 × colour passport photo (4.5cm × 3.5cm, white background, no glasses) for visa applications.
Personal Spending Money
Meals, personal shopping, and any activities outside the official programme are at the winner's own expense.
Travel Insurance
Winners are strongly advised to arrange comprehensive travel and medical insurance for the duration of the trip.
Mexican Tourist Card (FMM)
Required for entry into Mexico. Complete online at visitax.gob.mx or on the plane — free of charge.

Start early. Mexican visa applications require a pre-assessment — email your documents to consularsud@sre.gob.mx first. Once cleared you will be invited for an interview at the Mexican Embassy in Pretoria. Allow at least 4–6 weeks.
